Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Your privacy matters, so this page is written the way everything in AdsPlainer is written: in plain English. It explains what data we collect, why we collect it, where it lives, and how you stay in control.
Who we are
AdsPlainer ("we", "us") is a tool that connects to your Google Ads account and explains, in plain language, where your budget is going and how to improve it. For anything related to your data or this policy, write to us at ditucatalin1799@gmail.com. A real person answers.
What we collect
We only collect what the product needs to work:
- Your Google profile basics when you sign in: name, email address and profile picture.
- Your Google Ads data, only after you explicitly connect an account: account names and currencies, campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, search terms, performance metrics (daily, hourly, by device and by age or gender group), conversion actions and the account change history.
- Your waitlist signup, if you joined it: email address, optional survey answers and your referral code.
- Feedback and messages you send us through the app.
- A few basic product events, such as which pricing plan you clicked. No cross-site tracking, no advertising pixels.
What we do with it
We use your data for exactly one thing: making AdsPlainer useful to you.
- Analyzing your campaigns to generate insights and recommendations.
- Rendering your dashboard, charts and reports.
- Notifying you about new findings in your account.
- Understanding, in aggregate, which features help people so we can improve them.
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We never use it to train machine-learning models.
Google user data and the Limited Use policy
AdsPlainer's use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In practice that means: we request read-only access to your Google Ads data, we use it only to show you your own insights and reports, we do not transfer it to anyone else, we do not sell it, and no human being reads it except for security reasons, to comply with the law, or with your explicit permission (for example, when you ask for support on a specific campaign).
The current version of AdsPlainer cannot change anything in your Google Ads account. When one-click fixes launch, every change will require your explicit approval, one action at a time.
Where your data lives and for how long
- Your data is stored in a Postgres database hosted in the United States (us-east-1). All connections are encrypted in transit.
- Performance data is kept for 90 days (hourly breakdowns for 30 days). Older rows are deleted automatically.
- If you disconnect a Google Ads account from AdsPlainer, everything we synced from it is deleted.
- If you want your whole AdsPlainer account and every trace of your data gone, email us and we will delete it within 30 days.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you signed in, plus one cookie that remembers your language choice. That is it. No third-party advertising cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking.
Service providers
Like every web product, we rely on a few infrastructure providers to run AdsPlainer: database hosting, application hosting and email delivery. They process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us, under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Your rights
You stay in control, always:
- Revoke AdsPlainer's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Access stops immediately.
- Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it or delete it.
- If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have these rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
For any of these, one email is enough: ditucatalin1799@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so clearly in the product before the change takes effect. The date at the top always tells you when it was last updated.
